All you're missing out on is the hand-made NPC face edits, which you probably won't notice unless you're looking at side-by-side comparisons of specific NPCs. That means you can still use the Seamless mods with this, and any other mods which add new visuals. You still get almost all of the new character visuals, because the Race edits still redirect to nuska's new models and textures.

Primarily, removing the NPC edits removes the cause of almost all conflicts and the need for 99% of existing patches for the original mod.

This still means you get the original mod's new race visuals, just without the specific hand-changed NPC face edits and the new rebellious teenager haircuts. This is a replacement for the original Oblivion Character Overhaul esp plugin, but with all the NPC and hair edits removed. Oblivion Character Overhaul is great, but it causes a tonne of compatibility issues and is full of spurious dirty edits to NPCs.
